Happy new year beautiful souls. I wanted to provide you with a collective energetic analysis/prediction for 2025 for those interested in my insights. First, let us start with numerology. 2+0+2+5 adds up to year 9. I’ve blogged about personal year numbers previously and encourage you to calculate your personal year number for this year. However, on a worldly collective level, we are at number 9. This means closing out cycles to prepare for a new cycle in 2026 which will be year 1. 

Past World Events

The last time we had this 9-1 energy was the 2016 -2017 transit. I was looking at the major events happening during that time and what’s interesting is the biggest news for both of those years was President-elect Donald Trump coming into power. Now it's almost a decade later and the same man is coming into power along with the 8-9-1 cycle transition. Personal thoughts and feelings of him aside, from a spiritual standpoint,  there is no doubt that he holds power and energetic significance to be in alignment with this cycle again.

Significance of Number 9: Numerologically and Astrologically

Speaking more on what to expect with year 9, it is a great year for collective closure, clean-ups, and overall growth. This means getting down to the nitty-gritty of society and releasing patterns that do not serve the world and humanity anymore. My humanitarians, healers, lightworkers, divine feminines, and divine masculines of the world will feel this energy deeply as they are the ones who will be doing a lot of the internal, and therefore external work (external work meaning either taking outward action or projecting their light outwards, as they have a strong reach). 

Number 9 is the last number of the 1-9 cycle and is rooted in universal love, compassion, support, and oneness. This indicates the collective's overall ascension and spiritual growth are projected to be immense. It is important to note that wherever love and healing are spoken of, we must also acknowledge forgiveness - an essential component in endings, closure, finding peace, and overall growth.

From a Jyotisha standpoint (Vedic astrology), the number 9 is connected to the planet Mars. Mars may not seem to give off a "kumbaya" vibe, but... in actuality... it does. Mars is the soldier archetype, meaning it believes in self-effort yes, but also in being a part of a team and helping the greater cause. This is reflective of the humanitarian nature of Life Path 9s. That being said, yes is important to do the inner work and pour into yourself this year, but do not forget to offer your support to others. For those who are running through personal year number 9 and most especially to my Life Path 9s, all of these energies will be amplified for you. Mars is also connected to the element of fire which plays a vital role in the next two years, which I will touch on later.

Seasonal Breakdown: Intuitivley and Astrologically

Journeying forward, I will break down the year season by season, starting with winter. I believe the rest of the winter will be a time of releasing and transitioning. January is always filled with much hope for the future, but it doesn’t necessarily mean things coming to fruition. This doesn't mean major events won't be happening around the world, but looking into the subconscious of the collective, regardless of what will be happening outwardly, it seems to be a time of reflection and hibernation. This is reflective of the inner work that is going to be done on an individual level for most, which will require personal space to do so. The last week of February will be Maha Shivaratri which is a powerful time to help accelerate your healing and purification if that is something you feel connected to.

I’m feeling the energy pick up in the spring towards the end of March and onwards which is not surprising given that it will also be the time of Chaitra Navratri (a time of worshiping the Divine Mother and cleansing the spirit). I don’t feel this spring will be smooth sailing which makes sense because transition seasons never really are. I feel extra stress and grittiness around April which will be felt on an individual level (reasons will differ for everyone) and possibly collectively due to social and/or economic upheavals.

These rough seas I am picking up on are further confirmed by the major planetary shifts happening between March and May. The big dogs Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu (north node), and Ketu (south node) will all be transitioning to new signs by the end of May which is extremely important both collectively and individually. Saturn (the planet of karma and time) will shift in Pisces (the sign of spirituality and mystery), Jupiter (the planet of wisdom, blessings, and spirituality) will shift in Gemini (the sign of communication), and Rahu and Ketu (the nodes of density) will shift in the Leo-Aquarius axis which are the signs of power and revolution respectively. These are the most important celestial bodies when transitioning through major life events, which makes their shift from one sign (and one house) to another, extremely significant. How each planet will behave in each sign for the collective is a post on its own, but on an individual level, it will affect everyone differently depending on one's birth chart and therefore, their karma.

I sense things will stabilize by the end of June which will give a nice summer to most. This may be the time when love and/or friendships will blossom for some. I don’t feel any major commitments coming about just yet, but the warmth I am channelling makes me think of coming together in a light-hearted way. I also see summer being a prosperous time for some which is reflected in the fruitfulness of summer. I'm seeing the greenery being highlighted which is most vast in the summer, and the heart chakra is also green which is further confirmation. The heart chakra is associated with both love and abundance so that might be why I sense both energies coming in together. I feel things will be light until mid to late August. Cancer-Leo season in the sidereal zodiac always brings shifts so that is when I see the autumn transition starting to make its way into the collective. 

I sense September being a little difficult in the sense where it's a little… uncomfy. I’m not sure if it will be felt through the personal lives of the collective or through the political climate shifts, but the energy is a little… wishy-washy and all over the place. As I typed that last bit I decided to check the Hindu calendar only to find the month starts with Pitru Paksha, followed by Sharada Navaratri happening on the exact day of the Autumn Equinox, all aligning with eclipses so… that explains it! Usually, this energy happens in October but everything seems to be happening earlier this year. Given this heavy cosmic energy, there will be upheavals in the collective which will pressure people to reflect, re-evaluate, and shift their perspectives, however, this energy is intended to help lift the individual and collective consciousness.

I feel the rest of the autumn will hold true to its transitional nature and continue to build throughout October and November in preparation for the foundations set by the end of December. For October and November specifically… I’m channelling a "lock." It is not a lock on a cage or a jail… but instead, a lock which locks your home or the locking mechanism on a roller coaster... a lock for safety and security. The energy I am feeling from this is “locking in” or “committing” to a journey. For some, this will mean committing to a career path, hopefully, one that is in alignment with soul purpose. For those in long-term relationships/connections or those whose summer romance survived the September upheaval, you may be locking yourself into a deeper level of commitment. For others, it may be cultivating a deeper commitment to God or the Self. Whatever it may be, I feel the commitments made during this time will be central to the new beginnings experienced in 2026 for the collective Year 1.

Chinese Zodiac: Year of the Snake (2025) to Year of the Horse (2026)

Before I close out I wanted to touch on two things - first, on the Chinese zodiac. On January 29th, 2025 (the first new moon of the year), we will begin the year of the snake. Snakes/serpents are considered highly mystical creatures and represent wisdom and the kundalini energy. Kundalini energy is the powerful primal potential energy that resides in all. It is a form of Shakti (divine feminine) energy said to be represented by a coiled snake sitting in the base of the spine (root chakra). When this energy becomes triggered (not awakened, but simply triggered), an intense opening and purification can happen on a soul, and therefore, cellular level. This is not what people will be going through as first, we are looking at the collective energy, and second, the kundalini stays fairly dormant in most. However, because of the snake energy, I do see a mirroring of energy happening, which reiterates the spiritual awakening and growth that will be happening in the collective.

It is important to understand this energy along with the numerology 9 is not an easy energy to work through. As I mentioned, on a macro (collective) scale, it means the world needs to shift the negative patterns and prejudices that no longer serve humanity in order to enter into a brighter future. On a micro (individual) scale, it means cleaning and decluttering all of the trauma, darkness, and corruption that resides inside the energy bodies (chakras). For those who have already done a lot of the shadow work and healing over the past few years, you’ll be experiencing a "fine-tuning" of your energy, but for those who haven't, you’ll experience this purification more deeply. 

Furthermore, the year of the snake is considered yin energy or feminine energy which means connecting to feminine energy is important this year. At the beginning of this post, I spoke about unconditional love, compassion, forgiveness, and abundance - all of which are feminine in nature and associated with the heart chakra (which is also feminine in nature). I do not believe it will be possible to get through this year successfully without first - softening the heart, and second - connecting and healing the feminine energy within the self, and/or healing your relationship with your mother. And for any masculines reading this - yes it is harder for you to connect to the heart space, but it can be done all while still maintaining and strengthening your masculinity. Being able to have this balance is what turns distorted masculine energy into divine masculine energy.

Continuing with the Chinese zodiac, each animal is associated with a fixed Chinese element - fire, water, earth, wood, metal - with the snake being associated with the fire element. This links well to the numerology 9 being connected to the energetically fiery planet Mars. However, according to the Chinese, the fixed element of the animal is not always the element that governs the year. In 2025, the element which governs the year is “wood” which is connected to spring, growth, and by extension, the tree of life, and the foundations I spoke of earlier. The year 2026 will not only be “year 1” of new beginnings but also the year of the “horse”, “yang” (masculine) energy, and the year of “fire." The fire here not only governs the year 2026 but is also the fixed element of the horse. On top of that, the number 1 is ruled by the Sun which is not only fire energy but also masculine energy. Do you see how these energies connect? 2026 will be a year when many manifestations may come to fruition, but we cannot begin to navigate and embody that new cycle without first mastering what 2025 has to offer. For the fire of 2026 to burn, we need to have an abundance of wood which can be cultivated in 2025 with the right intentions and actions.

The Fire Element

I wrote this blog a few days ago but since then, wildfires have been wreaking havoc in California. It is extremely devasting to see this, and my heart goes out to those who have suffered losses, regardless of wealth. Seeing this made me want to speak more deeply about the fire element as both years are associated with fire, however, the fire energy for both years will function differently and serve different purposes. The fire element within this year, which is associated with the number 9, the planet Mars, and the snake, is a fire that burns away impurities. It works more so as a purification and a cleanse, which makes sense as the number 9 is connected to endings (morid, but think of the fire of a funeral pyre). The fire of 2026 which is associated with the number 1, the Sun, and the year of the horse, is more so the fire of vitality and illumination (think the fire of a diya), which makes sense as the number one is associated with new beginnings. Knowing this information you can channel the fire element within to heal and manifest accordingly, both on a personal and collective level.

Canadian Federal Elections

The last thing I wanted to touch on was the Canadian political climate as 2025 marks the year of the federal elections. I don't usually speak of politics, but there were some things I felt were relevant to highlight. Regardless of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stepping down as leader, I had already believed there would be a power shift as this election is aligned with the 9-1 cycle. This means new energy is on its way, as opposed to more of the same. I also believe regardless of which party comes into power, this energy will still be present, as I believe it is mainly the energy of the leader, and not the political party, which creates energetic change.

For those who reside in Canada, you can understand the downward spiral of energy the country has been experiencing over the years, so much so that the nation has lost strength in its identity. However, if the collective uses the opportunities presented this year to do the inner work and continue to project compassion, strength and integrity, perhaps this election can be a turning point. I also want to point out, this year's elections are aligned with the energy of Diwali. Diwali is not only the festival of divine light but also a celebration of victory, righteousness, prosperity and abundance. If we remember this as we journey through this year, perhaps we can manifest a prosperous and harmonious new beginning for our country. I don't believe you have to be particularly patriotic to do this, even being a citizen of the world and believing in universal love and harmony is enough to create change.
